I'm an Australian ski instructor with a home in Umeå, Sweden, and a life shaped by winters across Switzerland, Australia and Sweden. Growing up in rural outback Australia, far from the mountains, I had little exposure to snowsports. Discovering skiing opened up an entirely new world, and it's a passion that has taken me across continents ever since.

‍

What I love most about instructing is helping people discover what they're capable of. Whether it's overcoming a fear, breaking through a technical plateau or gaining the confidence to explore new terrain, seeing someone progress reminds me why I fell in love with skiing in the first place.

‍

I believe great coaching starts with understanding the individual. Everyone has different motivations, goals and ways of learning, so I aim to make every lesson personal, engaging and rewarding.

‍

When teaching children, I use imaginative games, themes and activities to create a fun, supportive and safe learning environment. For skiers looking to develop their technique, I favour clear explanations, practical analogies and simple concepts that make complex movements easier to understand and apply.

‍

I'm constantly looking to develop my own skiing and coaching, learning from experienced professionals and continuing my journey towards BASI Level 4. My international teaching experience, enthusiasm and sociable personality help me connect with skiers of different ages, abilities and backgrounds. I also speak conversational Swedish and am currently learning French.

‍

Outside of teaching, you'll rarely find me sitting still. I love bikepacking, hiking, ski touring, wild camping, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Some of my favourite adventures include bikepacking through the Scottish Highlands and hiking the Western Arthurs in Tasmania.

‍

For me, the mountains are much more than a workplace. They're somewhere to explore, challenge myself and share unforgettable experiences with others.
