No, insurance is not included in the price of Pulse Snowsports lessons. It is the client’s responsibility to have appropriate coverage, including:

What Are the Requirements for Off-Piste Ski Lessons?

For off-piste ski lessons with Pulse Snowsports, clients must be appropriately equipped for safety. The minimum required gear includes:

Avalanche transceiver
Shovel
Avalanche probe

If you don’t have the necessary equipment, Pulse can organize rental of avalanche safety gear if notified at least 24 hours before your lesson. Without the minimum equipment, clients cannot participate in off-piste skiing.

Additionally, clients must have appropriate off-piste insurance to participate in these lessons. Ensuring safety and preparedness allows for a secure and enjoyable off-piste experience.

What Is Pulse Snowsports’ Liability Policy?

Pulse Snowsports cannot accept liability for accidents that occur during ski or snowboard lessons. Clients are strongly advised to have their own personal accident insurance.

For those in Verbier, you can also take out accident insurance at the Televerbier ticket office when purchasing your lift pass. The insurance costs 5 CHF per day and covers:

Yes, all of our instructors are required to have up-to-date criminal record checks and meet strict professional standards.

Will the lesson be postponed or refunded in case of bad weather?

Lessons usually go ahead in all weather conditions, as skiing is possible in snow, fog, or light rain. However:

Partial mountain closure – Lessons will continue where possible on the open lifts and slopes.
Full mountain closure – Refunds are not issued directly by Pulse Snowsports. You should claim through your personal insurance.
If an instructor is unavailable due to conditions – We will offer you a full refund or a free reschedule.

Full payment is required at the time of booking (unless agreed otherwise in writing).
Payment secures your spot and creates a contract between you, Pulse Snowsports, and your instructor.

2. Can I cancel or modify my booking?

Yes, but refunds and rescheduling depend on the notice period:

More than 14 days before: Full refund or free reschedule
7–14 days before: 50% refund or free reschedule
Less than 7 days before: No refund; rescheduling possible with a 25% rebooking fee
Less than 48 hours before: Neither refund nor reschedule available

3. What if Pulse Snowsports cancels?

Instructor unavailable: Full refund or free reschedule
Partial mountain closure: Lessons continue where possible
Full mountain closure: No refund; please claim via your personal insurance

4. No-shows & emergencies

No-shows: No refund or reschedule unless you notify us in advance
Medical/emergency: A valid medical certificate may allow a partial refund or reschedule

5. Lift closures

Full lift closures do not entitle you to a refund directly from Pulse Snowsports.
Please make claims via your personal insurance provider.

France & UK (Morzine + Other French Locations)

3. Missed Lessons

No refunds or rescheduling for missed lessons, regardless of reason.

4. How Your Payment is Used

80% goes directly to your instructor/guide
20% is retained by Pulse Snowsports for admin & operations

5. Participant Age Requirements

All participants must meet minimum age requirements for the chosen session
Proof of age may be requested; failure to verify may result in removal from the session
