I've been teaching skiing for over 37 years, nearly 30 of them as a BASI Trainer. I started as a race coach in my teens, skied for Team GB in my youth, and have coached racers across the UK and Europe. I hold BASI, PSIA and IASI teaching qualifications.

‍

I've been lucky enough to work across many different parts of the ski industry. I've run Sheffield Ski Village, been a director at High Wycombe Ski Centre and Manchester Snowcentre, and owned a ski school in Megève. I also served as Chairman and later CEO of BASI, was Team Leader for the British Paralympic Alpine Team at Sochi 2014, and co-wrote the Ski Instructors Handbook.

‍

Over the years, I've delivered BASI courses and technical training weeks in Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy and the UK. These days, I teach each winter in Val d'Isère, Tignes, Morzine and the UK.

‍

After all these years, I still enjoy teaching just as much as ever. Whether I'm helping someone build confidence on skis, developing an advanced skier's technique or supporting an instructor towards their next qualification, I enjoy finding the right approach for each individual and helping them make progress.
