Hi, I'm Caelan! I'm originally from Northern Ireland, where I grew up surfing, swimming and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

‍

I've always loved learning new sports, particularly surfing, skiing and snowboarding, and that passion has naturally developed into a love for coaching and helping others discover what they're capable of.

‍

Before becoming a ski instructor, I spent two years coaching surfing, working with people as they developed new skills, overcame challenges and built confidence in the water. That experience taught me that learning something new isn't always straightforward. I've experienced the excitement of making progress, the frustration when things don't quite click and the patience it sometimes takes to overcome a challenge.

‍

Looking back at the instructors who've helped me over the years, the ones who made the biggest difference were those who took the time to understand me, not just as a learner, but as a person. That's something I try to bring into every lesson I teach.

‍

Whether you're putting on skis for the first time, working through a technical challenge or rebuilding confidence after a fall, I want you to feel comfortable learning at your own pace. Everyone progresses differently, and I believe some of the biggest breakthroughs happen when you stop comparing yourself to others and start trusting your own abilities.

‍

I enjoy finding out how each person learns best. Some people benefit from clear technical explanations, others prefer demonstrations, visual feedback or simply getting a feel for a movement. My aim is to adapt my coaching to you, helping you understand your skiing while keeping the experience relaxed, supportive and enjoyable.

‍

Not every breakthrough happens in a single lesson, and that's absolutely fine. Sometimes progress means mastering a new skill, while other times it's about building confidence, spending more time on skis and gradually feeling more comfortable on the mountain.

‍

Above all, I want you to finish every lesson feeling you've achieved something worthwhile, enjoyed the experience and gained a little more confidence in where your skiing can take you.
