I've been teaching and coaching skiing for 26 years, and I'm a BASI Level 4 ISTD ski instructor, BASI Race Coach and Carte Professionnelle holder.

‍

My skiing journey began as an athlete with the Glasgow Ski Centre race team, before I moved into coaching and instructing. I later became Men's Europa Cup Team Coach for Snowsport GB, working with athletes progressing from FIS racing towards World Cup competition, including preparations for the 2009 World Championships in Val d'Isère.

‍

Throughout my career, I've coordinated a ski school, developed and delivered instructor training programmes across all BASI levels, and taught at Canyons in the USA. Between 2010 and 2015, I taught private lessons in Tignes, specialising in off-piste skiing and race training. One of the most rewarding parts of that time was seeing clients return year after year and recommend me to their friends.

‍

I also hold the Snowsports Scotland Alpine Performance Coach Level 2 qualification. Whether I'm working with young skiers, developing advanced technique or helping someone build their confidence, I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where everyone can enjoy learning and improving.

‍

After 26 years, I still get just as much satisfaction from helping someone make a breakthrough in their skiing, whatever their age or ability.
